Hey everyone! In my recent poll, I asked what everyone wants to see more of on this site. Heaps of people wanted more fashion, so here’s a new spread of articles I will be doing, called ‘Get the Look’. Each character will have two parts, the first will be the initial clothing that the character wears, like their signatures pieces, must-have wardrobe items, and styles they prefer. Basically it will be a compilation of images with written descriptions of what they wear!

The second part will be where I show you how to get a specific look the star has, for less, using things you already have in your wardrobe, or things you can find anywhere.

I thought it only appropriate to do the first article on Blair Waldorf, since her style is one of the most favored in the series, and her clothes define her! Hope you guys enjoy I started off with a kind of ’story board’ of images that basically SCREAM BLAIR! Things like diamonds, makeup, sunglasses and phones. This is basically the inspiration behind all that is Blair Waldorf!

I think we can all agree, that Blair’s signature piece of clothing is her headbands. She has tonnes, and wears them with almost any outfit, to make the look more exciting. Whether it be a simple bold color, or an intricately detailed piece, Blair seems to love all headbands! Here are some examples below:

Blair also loves wearing these little wool cloche hats, and cute Parisian-style berets. If she’s not wearing a headband, you’ll find her wearing one of these. Although the cloches are not typically something that people like to wear, and they are somewhat dated, Blair loves to dress her outfits up with them, and they keep her look cute and preppy!

Now on to dresses. I searched for AGES and could not find a single photo of Blair wearing pants, and as a result, she often opts for skirts or dresses. Below, I’ve sorted the dresses into styles she loves. On the first row, are halter necks, which she loves for a slight vintage feel to an outfit. Next are the high-collared basic dresses with frills and ruffles, which are totally girly and perfect for Blair! She loves intricate lace detailing and nice sailor-style dresses. Next is floral prints. On those hot summer days, Blair loves the short, cute and fun floral patterns on her dresses. The dress design doesn’t have to be all out there either, since the gorgeous features of the print takes care of that! On the last row is strapless dresses. Blair loves the little peplum style skirts, that synch at the waist, and flair at the hips. A thick belt or bow around the hips doesn’t hurt either!

Now onto skirts! Blair loves those cute little pencil skirts (shown on the bottom row), as they are chic and sophisticated, and are work and school friendly. On row 2 are banded skirts, with flowy bottoms. These are super feminine, and also quite summery. The top row just shows some other cute skirts that I think Blair would love – work friendly, but still nice and casual.

Next is tops. Frills, ruffles and lace are basically Blair’s motto! On the top are halter necks. These are similar in design to Row 2, Row 3 and Row 4, basically all, well, frills and ruffles! Lots of girly feminine detailing, and thin airy fabrics. All highly chic, and perfect for a school uniform. So that means collared shirts and elegant blouses.

Now on to things to add warmth, color, style and pizazz to her outfits! Jackets! Blair loves perfectly tailored jackets, some in bold colors to build up an outfit, and some in just shades of grey, to dress down one. Prints, fur, tailored edges and bows are all things Blair loves to include in her jackets to really spice up what she’s wearing.

Shoes are also a MAJOR part in Blair’s wardrobe. Cute, chic yet refined pumps and flats are a big must! Simple designs with bows and other detailing make Blair’s outfits even more adorable! A good pair of heeled boots with button or lace-up details never hurt either. Studs are more Leighton’s thing, but Blair still loves the chunky heel-typed shoes.

Last but certainly not least, are bags. Blair LOVES LOVES LOVES super chunky totes in bright colors to really make an outfit stand out, and you’ll sometimes see her carrying two bags, a big carry-all and a smaller clutch for money etc. Quilted purses, and bows are some things that Blair usually opts for, and bags with chunkier handles with a lot of space.

So guys, I hope you all enjoyed this post, and really benefited from it. It took me an absolute ETERNITY to compile all the images, not to mention all the editing of them, plus the descriptions. So do you like this new series?
